35,000 Bolivian drug labs destroyed in ten years

A report from the Bolivian government has claimed that counter-narcotics forces destroyed 35,878 cocaine labs and 321 tons of cocaine costing drug producers $176m in the last ten years. Despite these figures the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime estimates that coca cultivation has increased, with the US Department of State estimating that 31,000 hectares of coca cultivation are still in operation.
