11,400 Georgians die from smoking every year

A report by the World Health Organisation (WHO) places Georgia as having one of the highest rates of smoking in the world, with 33% of adults and 57% of men recorded as current smokers. The report estimates that 11,400 Georgians die each year from smoking related diseases causing the country to lose 2.4% of its GDP
